Thanks for making it here!

I know that searching for a therapist can feel daunting, especially when most therapist profiles sound exactly the same.

My hope is that this page helps you get a genuine feel for who I am, how I work, and whether working together might feel like a good fit.

How I Work

I offer trauma-informed counselling for adults who feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, self-criticism, emotional overwhelm, or disconnection. Many of my clients are high achievers, helpers, or people who have learned to carry a lot without letting much show. I work with trauma survivors of all scales.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and paced to support nervous system safety. I don’t believe in pushing for change before there’s enough stability and trust.

I’m not a blank slate! I will laugh with you, cry with you, share memes with you and be honest with you. Clients often describe me as compassionate, down-to-earth, and real. I aim to create a space where you feel both deeply seen and supported in making meaningful change.

Some Backstory

I’ve spent many years in the client chair myself. I‘ve struggled with debilitating anxiety, perfectionism, disordered eating, painful family of origin dynamics, and intergenerational trauma. Therapy helped me understand myself and the world differently. It helped me understand my patterns with more compassion, loosen the grip of harsh inner criticism, and make choices that aligned more closely with who I am.

That lived experience shapes how I sit with clients today. I understand what it’s like to look accomplished on the outside while feeling disconnected or overwhelmed inside. I bring that understanding into the therapy room with honesty, humility, and respect.

My path into counselling unfolded gradually. I began in health and science, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition with a minor in Psychology, and later spent over six years working in psychological research focused on personality, attachment, and perfectionism. I eventually completed a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and became a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC).

First Responders & Healthcare Professionals

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in Dispatch Operations at BC Emergency Health Services and now serve as a Critical Incident Stress Coordinator for members of the service all over the province. These work experiences have been formative for my development as a person and counsellor.

I have deep respect for the resilience required to do this work, and I know what its like to keep showing up despite struggling quietly. I offer a space where first responders and healthcare professionals can process critical incidents, burnout, grief, and the impact of long-term exposure to high-stakes situations in a way that feels grounded, confidential, and attuned.

Outside the Therapy Room

Outside of sessions, you’ll usually find me spending time in nature, walking my dog Maui on the North Shore, cross-country skiing or snowboarding, listening to records from the 60s and 70s (Janis Jopelin, Led Zeppelin, CCR…), reading, watching spy shows, and spending time with friends and family.
